Good Dog offers a variety of classes and workshops for a variety of training needs. We rotate the classes we offer, so be sure to check in with us frequently as these spots fill quickly!

Transform your furry friend into a well-behaved companion with Good Dog’s Obedience Basics training program. Our focus is on basic obedience and impulse control. Our expert trainers will work with your dog to teach them a variety of commands, from sitting and staying to coming when called. Tricks can be a great way to bond with your dog, while also providing opportunities for continued learning. In this class we will teach new impressive cues you can show off! 

*Instructor approval required: if you are interested, please reach out so we can be sure your dog is a good fit for this class, as there will be dropped leashes for many of the tricks.

In this class we will play games that foster a working drive and attitude. We will also introduce some foundations for a strong heel, controlled tug, directional casting and some conditioning exercises to keep your athlete strong and balanced. We will cover how to test your dog's baseline for work, and build engagement from the ground up. *This class is best suited for dogs who are comfortable and confident in a group setting. Some activities may be somewhat chaotic or triggering to reactive dogs. This class is designed to teach handlers how to enhance their dog's confidence. We will use positive reinforcement and lots of praise to teach our dogs new skills, enhance their learning abilities, and strengthen the bond between human and dog. The goal is to make sure each dog feels safe and the environment is conducive to learning, so please ask if you are unsure if this class is the right fit for your pup!

This an introductory class for service, therapy, or working dogs looking to get a head start on public access skills and advanced obedience. It is also a great class for pet dogs to practice their manners. The first three weeks will be a break down of each of the skills, and the final week will be the formal test.
